Arthurs Lake Field Trip 30-31 Jan 2010 - Weather was variable as was the fishing but all present managed to bag at least one. Those present fished the Pine, Great Lake, Woods and Arthurs with none of them really firing. Larger fish from Arthurs were in poor condition. Arthurs water quality does not seem good, a bit of a greeny/brown tint and smells around the edges, not sure if it was the water or the beans I had for dinner the night before. Frank hit a hot spot in front of the camp site on Friday evening and managed to get 7. A good time was had by all.

The Woods Lake field weekend on 7/8 November was well attended and a large number of fish were caught and released given the 5 bag limit. The weather was great and a few fish were even caught on the dry fly. The biggest landed was about 1.4kg with most being around the 800g to 1000g mark. Most were in reasonable to good condition.

Despite the weather the 09/10 season opening weekend was a great success with about 18 members present and over 40 fish caught in Bronte, another Club record for the opening weekend. Ivan had the heaviest bag weighing in 10 fish.
